I met Russ through a church near College Park. He was always a thoughtful individual, full of substance. When he spoke in bible class, people listened because Russ's comments were insightful and wrapped in wisdom. When a need was made known, Russ was one of the guys that would be ready to offer himself in service. In my bachelor days, Russ would come over to my apartment as we'd work out together, enjoying the friendship. Russ was (is), indeed, a precious soul.
